Here we go again - Wine Harvest is in full swing in Burgundy! Traffic is held up in all the local villages as tractors block streets racing back from the vineyards with full loads, but no-one minds - the special atmosphere at this time generates tolerance. There are many smiling faces this year. Winemakers are receiving extremely healthy grapes at the vat houses. Sorting tables are barely needed. And the harvest is the most copious for some time too. Good news for Burgundy lovers down the line when the wines are in bottle! 2018 looks likely to be a very good vintage.
